Timo Jankowski is a German soccer coach and currently Head of the youth department (Technical Director of Young Talent) of FC Basel 1893.
The owner of the UEFA A-License and trained Life kinetics and functional fitness trainer gained early experience in German and international soccer. After his first stints as Honorary coach at the South Baden Football Association and DFB base coach he moved to Switzerland, where he worked as a U16 coach and training manager at Grasshopper Club Zurich and later as Assistant coach of the 1st team was active.
In 2021, Jankowski took over the function of Technical Director of the Fiji Football Associationwhere, together with FIFA, he made a significant contribution to the professionalization of soccer. Under his leadership, the national teams qualified for several youth world championships, and the men's national team improved its ranking in the FIFA ranking up over 30 places.
Since June 2025 Jankowski is responsible for the strategic and sporting orientation of the FC Basel youth campus responsible. His philosophy combines High training intensity, Player-centered development and a positive, fearless approachwhich focuses on individual support.
