Steven Turek, born in Peine in 1990, is a football coach, sports scientist and author. His coaching career began early: at 18, he took over his first team at VfB Peine. This quickly developed into a clear professional direction. After several years in the youth sector - including at VfB Peine and Braunschweig SC Acosta - Turek moved to the Hannover 96 youth training center, where he worked for seven years in various roles, most recently as head coach of the U17s in the B-Junior Bundesliga.
In the summer of 2023, Turek decided to take a new path and moved to the MLS club's academy as U19 head coach in 2024 Atlanta United. In addition to his coaching activities, he has been involved for years as a Author and speaker at the Institute for Youth Footballwhere he became known for his specialist books, online seminars and lectures on the topics of training methodology, game principles and player development.
In his work, Turek combines scientific knowledge with practical implementation on the pitch. He focuses on the further development of young players, the promotion of decision-making skills in the game and the design of modern training processes.
