Loïc Favé

HSV Co-Trainer Professionals

Loïc Favé is a German soccer coach and sports scientist. Since October 2024 he is Assistant coach of the Hamburger SV professional team at the side of Merlin Polzin. Previously he was Sporting Director for Young Talent and Coach of the U21 of the HSV.

The Pro license holder is regarded as one of Germany's greatest coaching talents. At the age of 20, Favé took over the Eimsbütteler TV sports management and later led the U19 sensational in the A-Junior Bundesliga. This was followed by positions at Hamburg Football Association as a selection and base coach and as a Assistant coach of the FC St. Pauli professional team and then at the FC Basel alongside Timo Schultz.

Favé has a Master's degree in Sports Business Management and has numerous additional qualifications, including the University certificate "Match analyst in professional soccer"which A-License in Functional Training and the certification as Exos Performance Specialist.

In addition, Favé is Inventor of the SKILLSHIRTZan innovative training system that combines cognitive learning and soccer-specific decision-making. SKILLSHIRTZ is now used in numerous performance centers in Germany and abroad.

Favé stands for modern, scientifically based training with a strong focus on decision-making, game intelligence and individualization - principles that he now also brings to the professional game at Hamburger SV.
