Jonas Stephan is a German football coach, sports scientist and author. Since July 2024, he has been head coach of the women's team of RB Leipzig.
Stephan began his coaching career back in 2009 at VfB Peine and subsequently worked at various youth and club stations, including VfV Borussia 06 Hildesheim, the youth training center of Eintracht Braunschweig and the Chemnitz FC. In 2020, he achieved promotion to the Bundesliga 2 with Eintracht Braunschweig. In 2022, he returned to the Braunschweig youth academy as sporting director before moving to Leipzig in 2024.
He is regarded as a modern, analytical coach with a strong focus on game analysis, training methodology and individual development. Stephan is the owner of the DFB Pro License, the highest training level of the DFB and Master of Sports, Health & Performance.
