About the Author

Fabian Seeger

Fabian Seeger is the head of youth development at FC St. Pauli and holds a Master's degree in Sports Science and a UEFA A License. His experience spans both club and association levels.

He worked as a coach educator (C and B licenses) for the Hamburg Football Association and spent eight years coaching youth national teams (born 2000, 2005, 2007) and girls' teams (born 2004, 2005, 2006). Additionally, he served the German Football Association (DFB) as a DFB regional center coach for nine years and then as the full-time DFB regional coordinator for the Hamburg area for four years.

At the club level, he coached in the men's Oberliga and was also the sporting director of Altona 93 for five years. Since 2022, Seeger has been the Sporting Director of the Youth Academy at FC St. Pauli.

He is also the author of several football coaching books focusing on training concepts, planning, and execution.
