PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The seminar series “Positional Training” with Ralf Peter is aimed at players from U15 to professional level and provides practical guidance on how to integrate individual positional play into team training.

The goal is for every position – from center-backs and full-backs to defensive midfielders, wide midfielders, and central attackers – to be trained purposefully. Players learn to understand their role in the build-up, execute movements and decisions specific to their position, and thereby optimize the team’s overall play.

The first seminar explains why small-group training is important for each position and how team training can be structured to allow targeted positional training (“The Team Trains the Position,” approx. 44 min).

The second seminar focuses on center-backs: technical and tactical requirements in build-up play, coordination with teammates, basic behavior against 1–3 forwards, and practical training forms for small groups and the whole team (approx. 49 min).

Seminar three covers full-backs, including positional rotations, situational involvement in the attack, and various build-up options such as wing play, switching the play, or passing to the defensive midfielder and forwards (approx. 42 min).

The fourth seminar focuses on the back four: technical and tactical requirements, positional techniques in connection with the defensive midfielder, anti-pressing ball situations, and small-group training exercises directly linked to team training (approx. 45 min).

Ralf Peter is a renowned football coach, author and internationally sought-after speaker with a focus on tactics. He has been working for the German Football Association in the area of children and youth training and coach education since 2001.

He accompanied junior national teams to European and world championship titles and developed numerous teaching programs. He is also an instructor for the DFB A license.
