Developed by Horst Wein, the creator of the FUNiño concept, “Developing Game Intelligence – Part 3” focuses on preparatory games for 7 v 7 soccer. In this 62-minute video, Wein presents a series of simplified 3 v 3 games designed to replicate realistic game situations, helping players expand their spatial awareness and decision-making skills as the playing area and challenges grow.

Exercises such as 3 v 1 with a safety defender, 3 v 2 with counterattack, and 3 v 3 with multiple goal options teach players to maintain possession, execute quick attacks, and adapt to dynamic scenarios.

The video emphasizes learning through play rather than instruction, allowing players to develop game intelligence naturally. Key exercises include:

Ball possession in adjacent areas (3 v 1)
Through-balls and quick attack combinations
3 v 3 variations with multiple goals and crosses
Maintaining possession in challenging numerical situations

By engaging with these exercises, players gradually acquire the competence needed for full 7 v 7 games, learning to orient themselves in larger spaces and make faster, more effective decisions.
