Matthias Nowak is a German technical and creative coach and expert in cognitive soccer training. From 2009 to 2017 he worked at the FC Bayern Munich as technical and creative coach of the women's and girls' teams and made a significant contribution to the team's successes during this time - including two German Championships (2015, 2016) and a DFB Cup victory.
Nowak is internationally recognized as one of the leading specialists in the field of Cognitive and coordinative training. His philosophy: the less players have to think about technical processes, the more freely they can make decisions on the pitch. To encourage this intuitive action, he developed a progressive training system that combines complex movement and decision-making processes.
Nowak found the origin of his approach in 1995 in Brazilwhere he recognized the connection between technology, creativity and brain activity. Over decades, this gave rise to his now famous "Deep learning" methodwhich links motor, coordination and mental processes in soccer training.
As Author and speaker together with Jörg Seewald he published the bestseller "Move your brain" and numerous training DVDs. After his time at FC Bayern, he worked with coaches, players and scientists around the world - including the Bielefeld University - to further develop its cognitive training concept.
With its platform COGNIGOALS Matthias Nowak now shares his method with the international trainer community in structured online courses.
